Hi, I'm trying to learn opengl with glut and now I'm on to making 3D objects have textures.(like a cube :D with a crate texture) I've been following the NeHe tutorials but this is the first one I just don't understand. I downloaded the glut code to look at it after I couldn't figure out how to write it up and it is COMPLEATLY diferent than the tutorial. The site is talking about loading bitmaps and the code I downloaded is trying to load tga files. Can someone explain or give me the simplest way to do it please? Thanks so much!

You have to pass to GlTexImage2D pointer to memory with image. Some libraries have buildin functions so code looks different, doesn't matter. If you don't got build-in function for that you have load it manually
