Anyone know where I can find some on-line tutorials and examples of CgFX for beginners? I already know about the Nvidia library, but those samples are little too advanced for me atm.

Have you checked out the nvidias basic CG tutorials? They are just drawing a quad in there, som really really basic stuff if I remember right. :)
