Hello GameDev community, I have just finished my bachelors for Computer Science, and I am currently on the hunt for a job. I also like to keep busy with projects involving game dev, and would like to join a team for an on the side fun sorta deal. My Online Portfolio - http://cthulhu32.kraln.com/portfolio/ I have attempted to work on a team before, but the team leader fell apart on us and stopped providing useful materials so the whole project ceased :( I have zero 3-D game experience, but I would definitely be willing to learn as it will help my success in the job market for a future career in games. I have very extensive C++ knowledge, although most of my completed games are in Python/Pygame. If you're interested in a moderately experience game programmer then feel free to PM me or reply to this thread.

The TSL Team would be very interested in recruiting you to our single-player RPG project The Shattered Lands. As a member of the team you would join a competent crew of programmers, working close with our writers and artists via our forum and our IRC-channel; #TheShatteredLands at freenode.net.

As we're a complete team of indie developers there will be no payment involved, only the experience from working in a fairly large scaled team with an always improving working environment. You should find all the info about the team and the technology used in that first linked thread, as well as contacts.

Hoping to hear from you soon!

Extensive C++ and python knowdlegde sounds perfect :-) We're currently adding python support to our engine so you would surely make a great addition to the team.

Ok, looks like the FIFE team seems the best for me. The TSL Team seems awesome, but I think its a little too hard to join a team of 10 programmers when it comes to indie games :) I like to have a little bit of say with the program, so having that many programmers makes it a little tougher.

Thanks to the two offers, I'm PM'ing the FIFE team right now.

Just take a day or two to think about it.

Well as you've no experience working with 3D I assume you've no experience with the Ogre engine. ;) However your C++ could certainly be very beneficial to TVA so if you'd like to check us out heres our gamedev thread:
