.net - a bit confused

Probably not, unless you were using VC++ to write C++/CLI code.

People asking for ".NET experience" generally are looking for experience writing code in managed languages (C#, et cetera) for the ".NET Platform," Microsoft's implementation of the CLR.

No, not unless you've been writing managed C++ using the .NET assemblies.

Typically ".NET experience" means C# .NET or Visual Basic .NET; technically Managed C++ with .NET counts, but isn't usually what's really being asked.

thanks, sounds like something I need to learn then.
