EDIT: Listed new team members and labeled the filled and vacant positions. People interested in filled positions MAY STILL APPLY!
Team name: Tentative name of the 'team' and future company is "Intuition Games". However, "Those guys making Ara Fell" will suffice just as well! Project name: Ara Fell Brief description: This is an attempt to create a game that combines the nostalgia of older japanese-style RPGs with some nuance and western influence. It'll be written in English, contain several interesting takes on traditional turn-based battle systems and hopefully, be pretty damn nice-looking to boot. Currently, the game is being put together mostly by myself with graphics done by a close friend. There are a few things I'm unable to do myself, and these are the available positions. Not every one of these needs to be filled. Basically, if by the looks and sounds of the game, this is something you'd potentially like to be a part of, get in touch with me and we'll see what we can make work. The game has currently in production for about 2 months and has been in preproduction for 5 or 6. Target aim: Retail Compensation: All rates are negotiable. All deadlines will be set by you, yourself. Amount of work is negotiable. We do offer profit sharing. Technology: RPG Maker XP, Ruby/RGSS, 640x480x32 bit resolution, pixel art (tiles are 32x32) Talent needed: Testing/Balance Skills required: Willing to be thorough and dedicated through many play-tests. Must have strong understanding of jRPG combat and gameplay. EDIT: This is a dedicated testing position. Your job is to run through the game and test many different game elements, both finished and unfinished as often as we ask them to be tested. We'll need someone who is willing to work as an alpha tester, not beta tester. A job that may be a bit more tedious than alpha testing. (I added this because I got a few offers for testers and I'm worried they may not quite have the right idea). Battle Programmer Filled Systems Programmer Filled Lead Artist Filled Animator Vacant Need to be able to smoothly and cleanly animate and modify sprites and tiles. Same resolution as above. Artist Assistance Vacant Looking for several people to do small projects that won't require a major commitment or a great deal of time invested. A single set of expressive faces, 3 or 4 character sprites, a few animations. This sort of thimg Sound Effects Vacant This one is a little iffy. There are lots of free sound effects on the web, but having someone talented enough to make exactly what you need is ideal. Needs to be able to make, edit and produce high quality sound effects. Composer Filled Team structure: Stephen Anthony: Project Lead (8 months) Rebecca Saunders: Lead Artist (4 months) Hamilton Cleverdon: Composer (3 months) The Enigmatic "RPG-Advocate": Battle Programmer (1 month) Cameron Degraw: Systems Programmer (1 month) Website: Ara Fell Website Contacts: AIM: Badluck764 YIM: bad_luck_765 MSN: badluck765@hotmail.com (Not to be used as an email. I don't check it) Email: bad_luck_765@yahoo.com Previous Work by Team: Myself, I've created 4 freeware, relatively popular RPGs within the respective RPG Maker communities. Tarion Star, The original Ara Fell, Starlancer Six and Rise of the Third Power. Additional Info:
Feedback: Any feedback is appreciated, though this I'd prefer any criticism or negative feedback PMed, emailed or IMed to myself, personally. [Edited by - IntuitionGames on August 19, 2007 6:47:11 PM]
