This will also be the primary person designing and maintaining the database as well as setting up any replication that we need to mirror it between servers. Client Graphics Programmer This position would involve defining the API that the rest of the game components use for displaying and drawing things in the game. They will be in charge of getting JMonkey updates and integrating them as needed as well as adding any graphic things we need that JMonkey doesn't already offer. This person will also help with the basic UI layout in the game and generating the templates for the newspaper with game news. AI Programming This programmer would be responsible for writting the appropriate AI constructs that control various systems within the game. Cities need to build themselves based on the parameters from the governor, units need to be controlled in battle, and computer-controlled districts need to manage themselves so that the world is populated with interesting, dynamic content. Unit/Combat/Special Missions Programmer This person would be in charge of programming for all the units. This programmer will be responsible for building a data-driven framework to support each type of unit in the game so that artists and designers can quickly and easily add new units to the game. This person will also have to build the combat system, which will be the logic for resolving battles, determining who wins, etc. Any special missions that heroes or other units can carry out would also be built by this person. Alliances/Reputation System/Diplomacy/Government Types Programmer This person would build the alliances system to allow players to form alliances and work together. They would also be responsible for the reputation system and its affects on the game. Other projects may include coding support for different government types and other diplomacy actions. UI Programmer This person will build the UI for managing your district and city, the UI for controlling how things are built, managing production, etc. This person would write the logic for how various resources or technologies affect production, how things that the player or AI build affect your district/cities, and the code to view your cities.
