Hey everyone, I am trying to learn some OpenAL as a project for using 3D sounds and I'm having some trouble with my streaming. I first started writing my OpenAL wrapper for use as a basic audio player. After that Went well I figured I move on to 3D. The basic plan is I have a camera and 3 sphere objects. Each sphere has a different source attached to it and the Camera is the listener. After initializing everything I run the program, but very faintly here my closest object. I tried to move my camera but I found out that my stream won't end until the file ends. I tried just calling update a good number of times, but that just creates a static noise every now and then. Here is a snippet of the stream function being called by my Update function: char szData[BUFFER_SIZE]; int nSize = 0; int nSection; int nResult; while(nSize < BUFFER_SIZE) { nResult = ov_read(&m_pOggStream, szData + nSize, BUFFER_SIZE - nSize, 0, 2, 1, &nSection); if(nResult > 0) { nSize += nResult; } else { break; } } if(nSize == 0) { return false; } alBufferData(uiBuffer, m_eFormat, szData, nSize, m_pVorbisInfo->rate); return true; If it helps anyone to know, I am using Ogg Vorbis for this project. Thank you all for your time.
