Hi I've got a map that behaves this way: As a ship gets to the left boundary it automatically comes to the right boundary likewise right goes to left. Thus creating an endless circle. The problem is with drawing. My instinct says that there should be some way of drawing to a buffer and then rendering the map a few times.... The only other way is to multiply use opengl to render the map a few times. Or possibly determine where the user is looking and use that to offset the drawing. Anyone ever do this before?

How are you rendering the background? Is it tile-based? One big bitmap?

There is just 1 background starbox. I don't think it would be a problem to draw that a few times. The problem would be with drawing everything multiple times to create the illusion of a circle.

I was hoping there would be a way to render to a buffer of some sort, then just draw the buffer at the edges. This would create an endless circular illusion.
