Still struggling with lighting

Hey, It seems my last post has disappeared, (24/25 /06/2001), but this is the gist : I''m writing a tank game, which has a flat playing field, 200x200, walled in. I''m trying to get OpenGL lighting to work properly, as in attenuation, and I understand and can use the formula for attenuation, but it doesn''t produce any different results on my PC (Voodoo 3). However, when my friends try it out (all have nVidia cards, from TNT2 to GeForce 2), the lighting is properly attenuated on their PC''s. If anyone knows why my card doesn''t seem to support light attenuation (or maybe it''s drivers or old GL version) will they please let me know. Thanks P.S (why did my old post disappear, I checked right back to almost the beginning of June) We scratch our eternal itch A twentieth century bitch We are grateful for Our Iron Lung

Hey,

I''ve just downloaded the latest driver version for my Voodoo card from 3dfx.com, and that''s not the problem...

Can anyone shed some light (no pun intended) on this *please*?
