To be named We are an unregistered group and I don't consider a group's name to be important until we actually have a playable version Vampiric Manifestation: This is basically a visual novel, a very popular game form in Japan. Think of it as an interactive novel. Most visual novel are dating sim but not all of them are. This project goes into the latter format where it focuses more on the story as a whole and has more of action in it. If you like Japanese media and forms of entertainment like anime/manga/VN/RPG you will probably find this to your liking. Brief description: I have been working on this project for slightly over a month now. We have the basic storyline create and are now in the phase of writing each specific script, adding art, music, and background to it. The game will be roughly 4~8 hrs depending on how fast you can read text. If you think about it, it's generally a lot more easier than other type of games to make. Basically this is a great help in getting some experience or stay around with us to create more complex games. Target aim: We are planning on freeware but if it's really good, we are planning on shareware. We plan to release a demo before Christmas break, which will have about 30~1hr of gameplay leaving the players at a cliffhanger. Then the full release will happen on about march of next year. Compensation: Sorry we can't pay, like most other indie development group. However if we make revenue, the revenue will be shared. Technology: We have our own engine for making Visual Novels. For artists: Any art program you are using will be fine For composers: Any composing program For writers: Pencil and paper or your computer, your choice. Talent needed: Writers 1~3: They will mostly be writing scripts or helping me make the story better in general. Skills you need are decent grammar and spelling ability in addition to being able to write with different tone (comedic, romantic, dramatic, epic, etc) and make it interesting no matter what situation it is. Artists 2~4: There are couple different abilities you need but as long as you have 2 or more of these skills you are qualified: Background Artist (Nature) - Be able to draw scenes that are no cityscape but of nature like mountains or forests at different times of the day (day, night, twilight, dawn, etc). Paint-like style, semi abstract, or realistic is fine with me. Background Artist(City) - Be able to draw common manmade aspects of community. (Houses, roads, buildings, and inside of buildings) Paint-like style, semi abstract, or realistic is fine with me. Plus if you can draw interior of old style schools. OC Artist - Able to draw anime-styled original character after looking at the description or able to draw your own unique original character. Colorist - Able to color in pencil/pen/digital outline according to a previous model or fill in the color using your imagination. The reason I requested for so many artist even though its troublesome to keep a larger group is because art generally takes the longest time and therefore by having more people the load can be lightened and progress quickened. Communications Manager 1: I need a communications manager who will help me manage the group and help keep people on task (including me) according to the schedule and make sure no miscommunication occurs between members. Helps conform the group into a uniform structure. Previous Work by Team: There are couple of projects I worked on but none of them technically finished. So, I will say that this is the first project. Additional Info: We are currently in the phase where we are adding in whatever little script we have to the engine and adding art to it. We have a tech demo out to show how it's like as of right now. If you don't know what a visual novel is please go look it up on wikipedia.com. If you liked Fate Stay/Night, Tsukihime, or of the such, you will probably find this project interesting. The visual novel will have multiple paths and multiple endings. Ambitiously we will have 4 major pathway with 3 endings each with the main path (the first 50~70% of the story being generally the same) and then splitting off into the major pathways with different endings.
