Noticing somewhat that your site seems to favour heavily the modern gaming systems and platforms (nothing wrong with that, after all that is where the money is) However, there is a growing and fast expanding market in the retro and classic gaming and computer markets, especially in the areas of software and hardware development (i am talking mainly anything pre n64/playstation/saturn period) And given that your site has a bent or specialization in anything and everything to do with games programming/developing and designing etc I think it's only right that you have a section geared specifically for this emerging and fast growing market or perhaps have a separate forum specifically geared at this market, looking at everything from programming on original hardware or through emulators (i.e win vice, steem engine, win uae, atari 800win/altirra etc) including tutorials inb the various languages like basic, C, Assembler/forth/action etc at various levels of prociency (i.e from total newbs right through to budding doug neubauer/jeff minter types) split into the various brands ,i.e Atari, commodore, sinclair, apple, coleco, matell, sega nintendo etc etc (both for gaming systems and computers) Additionally, advice on programming graphics/sound within a programming language format, such as assembler or C etc, also to discuss various developments in the area of software development pertaining to 'software based hardware tricks' which seem to be all the rage especially on atari and commodore platforms (with both platforms trying to outdo eachother, things never change do they) and create a marketplace within your website for finished product/productions (therefore commercialising the whole classic/retro computing and gaming 'homebrew' scene) so the programmers/designers can sell/market their finished works, beit in either emulator format i.e atr/d64/st/adf/tzx etc etc via a paid for download service (a'la itunes etc) or through OMF (original media format, i.e disk/tape or rom cartridge) via the seller directly There is a market out there, and remember that if it weren't for this market that i refer to, this website and related forum's would'nt be here and I think it would be a good fit and might encourage more people to look into your site and related forums just a thought, thats all
