game programmers needed
I am looking for some talented programmers to join my team and work on a really big game project.
This game is designed to be an online massive multiplayer persistent world. It is a mix of space simulation, real time strategy, and role playing. It is almost entirely 3D with 1st and 3rd points of view.
I have worked out a unique space combat model. It will make space combat much more strategical than most space sims have at the momment. Winning a battle won''t depend so much on fast reflexes and big guns as on intelligence gathering, tactical manuevering, and coordination of friendly forces. Spying will be very important. I also have a special hacking model, it won''t be something your character learns, it''s something the player has to learn. I think people who are good at programming will be able to master this pretty well. There''s lots of ways to customize ship equipment. Space ships won''t be all the same size, the largest ship in the game is about 250 times lengthier than the smallest ship in the game. Of course, the smallest ships will be the fastest.
The game allows players to build their own kingdom that is part of one of the large empires. There will be a very detailed planetary combat model. The game will allow people to conqure existing empires and form new ones with their own version of global government. It will also be possible to become an empiror or one of his advisers, that will give you influence over all the other players who are part of your empire.
The game has its own dynamic economy, everything has to be built, manufactured, produced. Any ship upgrade will cost money, which has to be earned one way or another.
And finally, the player is not confined to 3rd point of view, you can always use your character to walk inside the kinddom you created, explore the space stations, and even fight side to side with your ground troops.
The good part about this multiplayer game is that there is a wide variety of game genres that the player can specialize in. For example, if you don''t like space ship flying but really like building a kingdom, you can just hire other players to do your "dirty" work for you. Or if you get tired of constant space battles, you can try something else, set up your private mining company, become a wealthy merchant, or find some secluded corner of the universe and start building up an army to conquire the universe.
There''s nothing like it out there, this is the future of gaming.
This multiplayer game will be cliented, therefore allowing little or no lag, everything is pre-loaded, only your opponents movements need to be downloaded, and your movements uploaded. Our servers are capable of handling 500,000 users.

I hate to rain on your parade...but..
With 'some effort'? That's like 3 years of effort for something of this scope, and that's assuming you get a big team of top of the line talent to sign on to work on it for free while working on it nearly full-time hours, which doesn't seem likely.
