Hello All.
Does somebody know about any 2d car physics tutorial for C++ ??
I have googled a lot, but couldnt found something sweet & simple.
Although theres one on this website, but it's using C# so i couldnt understand much of it. If somebody knows about anything, any resource, tutorial etc(Thats FREE) then please refer me to it.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks

math and logic transfer between languages. Look up calculating 2D physics and figure out the code on your own.

Are you referring to a side-view or top down 2d racing game? Huge difference :-)

There's a racing tutorial in the ressource section of this site. Don't know if it's of any use to you:

A top-down one...

I have already seen that, it contains a tutorial thats in C#, if theres one in C++, then that would be vry helpful..

If that tutorial is what you're looking for implementation wise then I think you should just take the time and effort to understand what it is doing and then re-write only the parts you want in C++.

This will teach you much more than just copying someones existing C++ 2D car physics.

I wrote the article a few years ago. I wish it didn't exist. Now i know how superpig feels :)

Definitely take time to learn to use C#. It's a very powerful tool that will protect you from silly mistakes while you are learning. It has practically a C syntax which is one reason why i like it. On top of instant compile time, definitions in the same file as the declarations. Built in ref counting.

Some of its lacking features are annoying, but i doubt you even use those features correctly in c++. So you wont miss them.

Anyways heres a boat of links:

And this is canonical c++ 2d car tutorial.
