What I really feel sorry for, is that with all our technology and access, people are still easily seduced into fear. 9/11 seems to have taught us nothing other than find someone new to hate. So I'm sorry for 9/11. I'm sorry for the people who had to pay for their lives because of selfish foreign interests. I'm sorry for the troops who were sent year after year under the guise of freedom, when it was really profiteering and political terraforming. I'm sorry to the people of NY who after 9 years have to stare at a constant reminder of how inept our gov't is at even rebuilding a structure that used to be a US symbol. Of how the gov't can spend billions in military adventurism but not on the health care of those caught in the attacks. Of how the war on terror, psychologically has scarred them to the point that a Islamic building will immediately flashback them to 2001 and any understanding of the real enemy has been warped by years of propaganda.

So yeah, I'm sorry for 9/11 and all the misery it has caused. As a human, I hope someday soon we all can learn quicker and better.
