I will sum up it all real fast, My OS is Windows 7 64-Bit, I am running VS2010 Pro, I created a program for my teacher to run, but when I packaged all the files required to run my application, it won't run on his. It says he needs "msvcp100d.dll", so I found it in my System32 folder and I put it in with my application. Now it tells him something about being registered. I have no idea, I have never had a problem with running my applications, but I never hand them out to people to try either. Can someone please tell me what I need to do so I can get this to work on other computers?

First things first: did you give him a release build or a debug build? Debug builds are not meant to be distributed.

Either select the static runtime libraries from your project properties dialog, or include a readme telling people to download and install the runtimes from Microsoft.

32-bit: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyID=a7b7a05e-6de6-4d3a-a423-37bf0912db84&displaylang=en
64-bit: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyID=BD512D9E-43C8-4655-81BF-9350143D5867

If you select the latter, make sure that you also tell them to ensure that it's from Microsoft and not some 3rd party download site, so that they know they're getting the real thing.

Based on the dll name (msvcp100d.dll note the 'd' suffix), you're deploying a debug version. You might want to check your project settings and change it to "release", if that's true. You'll get a smaller executable, and you may notice a speed increase.

Also, you will probably need to do exactly as mhagain suggests.

If you don't want to force your teacher to download the runtime libraries, you can manually register the dll, via the regsvr32.exe command-line application. It might be easier to just install the runtime library, though, unless it's just the one dll.

If this is the school's computer, you might run into some issues with their sysadmin.
