Been checking out this website and conference related to game sound & music: http://www.gamesoundcon.com/
Anyone ever been to this conference? I talked to one guy recently who checked it out and said it was good for those considering work in the game audio field, but I'm looking at that $500 for two days of lectures, thinking about all the gear I need that costs that much!
Gamesoundcon?
Hi Keith,
Disclaimer: I run gamesoundcon, so am pretty biased.
One of the GameSoundCon attendees last year did a brief blog post on his experience here:

Also, a few companies have discount codes to bring the price down. FOr example, the plug-in maker, Izotope (a GameSoundCon sponsor), has a promotion code, IZO, which brings it down to 395.
Best,
Brian Schmidt
