Description -

ABOUT MINER WARS:
Miner Wars is a 3D, six-degrees-of-freedom (6DOF) first person space shooter in the vein of Descent, Freelancer and Freespace, and most notably features a fully destructible environment. (Coincidentally, we employ Dan Wentz--Audio Director--who is a former Descent and Freespace developer).

Our engine is built from the ground up. We currently have around 25 active members from all over the world.

We have talked with several internet/national/international publishers, and are currently drawing up deals with several on-line distributors. We have obtained partnerships with Intel and Nvidia for eventual software and hardware discounts, respectively. With Intel, our game has been chosen as one of three games it will package with its products to show off their new products' capabilities.

Miner Wars is slated to be released by the end of second quarter next year.

PREMISE:
This game is about life in space after the Earth has been charred by a natural disaster dubbed the "Solar Event". The story is about two freelancer brothers who find themselves entangled in large scale conflicts, and an even larger secret. The game takes place in the asteroid belts within the solar system, where many different factions and corporations seek to harvest the minerals and gases in asteroids to sustain themselves and those few who are still alive on Earth, while conflicting violently over their established territories in lawless space.

Target Aim -
PC/Xbox Live

Compensation -
Eventual Salary, and Percentage of Revenue. Small payments deriving from our current fan-based revenue are to be distributed to the team at certain attainable landmarks. Once such landmark was achievable in a four week period.

Technology -

Programming:
- C#
- XNA
3d Modeling:
- 3ds Max
2d Art (textures)
- Photoshop

Talent Needed -

Overview:
We are a VERY serious team. Therefore, we are looking for extremely competent, reliable and motivated personnel who work well as part of a team. Professional experience is a plus, but not required as long as your work and attitude are at or near that level.

Programmers:
C# / XNA, min. 3 years programming, and able to dedicate no less than 20 hours a week. We are accepting programmers of all specialties (physics, graphics, AI, networking, etc.).

3d Modelers:
Proficiency with 3ds Max, and experienced. Proficiency in additional programs are a bonus. Must be able to work from concept art, and have an eye for detail.

Texture Artists:
Proficiency with Photoshop. Experienced and creative. Eye for detail. The style we are going for is "gritty" and realistic. In artistic style, the game is much much more hard sci-fi than soft sci-fi.

Concept Artists:
See description above, though Photoshop is not a requirement.

Wow, this game has a lot of potential.
Unfortuantly I dont have any of the skills to help.
I must say, this game looks like it will do good.
But the title, is to generic.
