Simply put, a lua-based 3d engine built on top of SDL - Hope this helps someone! examples/documentation included.

download (currently windows only): http://www.mediafire.com/?mbrtrtibwjy6kc8
Quick engine overview / comparison to other lua engines:
Advantages of boxEngine:
* extremely easy to start developing
* small list of useful core functions
* speedy if used correctly
* easy to use geometry/texture/shader library - all content is referenced by index, so you need not look up filenames when developing ( there is a list for objects -> indices included in src ).
* easy to add to content library.
* can be used for 2d / 3d / combined scenes.
Disadvantages:
* does not ( yet ) support tools to aid in high-speed 3d map rendering.
* no sound or networking functions ( yet ).
* not currently open-source.
* available for windows only ( though mac/linux builds are possible if there is demand )
* no tools ( yet ) for particle/billboard effects - must do them manually, which could be costly depending on use.
Features that will likely be avail in next release:
* better shader support
* depthbuffer / blending mode options
* ? better library organization

This is my first release - I'll provide updates if people like it. feedback appreciated :}
( ps: press 'esc' to quit, should be obvious =p )
