Hey,
I am having my GDD reviewed by a publisher and i am wondering if Autodesk software is good enough for the industry, i mean could employees use it to create a top standard game?
If it not sufficant could you please give me some names on what to use.

Autodesk currently owns both Maya and 3D Studio Max. Both are industry standard products.

I'm not sure what either would have to do with your game design. If you specify an art direction for an external group it ultimately shouldn't matter what tools they use to get the job done, only that they give it to you in a specific format.

I don't know what Autodesk software has to do with GDDs, but this doesn't sound like a Breaking In question. Moved to For Beginners.
