I'm trying to organize a programming study group. My focus is to assemble a group of people who want to learn programming through the method of game design. As a group we will work through the tutorials hosted here on Gamedev and others to create some projects as we learn.
STUDY PLAN
_______________
1.Our first project will be to create a basic text adventure using the native ANSI C format and libraries.
2.Our second would be to create a basic 2D display with a graphics library such as Allegro or SDL.
3.Using what we've learned from previous projects we will now create a basic tile and keyboard input/output engine
4. Before moving into 3D we will become more familiar with other graphics libraries such as DirectX, OpenGL etc..
If anyone is interested in organizing this group drop me an IM.We will need experienced volunteers who will be able to lead these projects and guide the study group through the lessons.
