George RR Martin Announces end
Looks like the next book in "A Song of Ice and Fire", "A Dance with Dragons" will be available July 12th. For those that don't know, this book has been promised to be delivered in 2007, 2008, and 2009, when Martin finally decided he wasn't announcing any more due dates until it was done. Well, it's done (almost).

I thought the Wheel of Time ending was the DNF of books...
WoT has been very steady in releasing it's books, one every 2-3 years, where as ASOIF hasn't released on since 2005. WoT is more like the Police Academy of books (they just keep making more and more).
