[color="#1C2837"]EDIT June 12th: We are currently hiring for all positions, check our facepunch thread:
[color="#1C2837"]
[color="#1C2837"]http://www.facepunch.com/threads/1081383-Zombie-Apocalypse-Source-(AKA-quot-The-Post-Zombie-Apocalypse-Simulator-quot-)-Needs-Team-Members And our mod showcase thread for more information
Team name:
[color="#1c2837"]

[color="#1C2837"]Lone Walrus Productions, group page can be found here: http://www.moddb.com...rus-productions
[color="#1C2837"]
[color="#1C2837"]Project name: [color="#1C2837"]

[color="#1C2837"]Zombie Apocalypse: Source [color="#1C2837"]
[color="#1C2837"]Brief description:
[color="#1C2837"]

[color="#1C2837"]Zombie Apocalypse: Source is a source engine modification being created by a group of developers known as Lone Walrus Productions It puts a lot more emphasis on surviving in an undead world where one bite can kill you, rather then the run and gun of games like Land of the Dead: Road to Fiddler's Green or Left 4 Dead (2). The current project has been in development for roughly 4 weeks or so. Some base features that are planned and being bashed around include an intricate skill tree and survival system, thus forming the more RPG features of the game. Things like Leveling up, perks, basic traits and a list of special base stats like Intelligence, Endurance, Agility, etc. Then there's the more simple things that make up a modern day game, Iron sights, a free roam environment, etc. The gunplay is planned to be modified to be a bit more realistic in sense of weapon usage, quality, bullet travel, etc. And many more features get discussed every day.

[color="#1C2837"]You can find additional information here: http://www.moddb.com...ocalypse-source
[color="#1C2837"]
[color="#1C2837"]Target aim:
[color="#1C2837"]

[color="#1C2837"]Currently the project is going to be a freeware source mod. If later down the road, there's potential to license as retail, that will definitely be a route we'll go.
[color="#1C2837"]
[color="#1C2837"]Compensation:
[color="#1C2837"]
[color="#1C2837"]Currently this is an unpaid project, however if there is potential for retail, money will be split between the group members equally, unless of course the particular team member put no effort or productive work into the project.
[color="#1C2837"]
[color="#1C2837"]Technology:
[color="#1C2837"]

[color="#1C2837"]The current engine we are modifying is the source engine which runs off the programming language C++, levels will be made with the Hammer World Editor as most source mods are. Models are usually made with 3DS Max but I have seen some team members make models with Blender. Photoshop is a given for texture artists, and most of our sound artists are using FL Studio 9.
[color="#1C2837"]
[color="#1C2837"]Talent needed:
[color="#1C2837"]

[color="#1C2837"]We need people who are well trained in the art of C++ Coding. General tasks include things like Coding AI, Inventory system, Dynamic Speech system, and a bunch of other features, along with making sure that the other team members are up to date with the latest version of the mod.
[color="#1C2837"]
[color="#1C2837"]Team structure:
[color="#1C2837"]

[color="#1C2837"]Currently there are 14 team members, separated into different departments. Eyefunk is our head level designer overseeing the Mapping Department, which consists of 5 members of the team. Ricewarrior is our head modeler overseeing the Modeling Department (Which also consists of texture artists), which consists of 5 members of the team. 2 are Music Composers/Sound Designers (No Department Head) and 2 are coders, unfortunately one's on temporary leave, and the other one doesn't know much about coding, a trainee if you will (No Department Head.), many team members also double as voice actors. I myself oversee the head of the departments and view the work that is going on in each department and maintain the websites, mod page, forums, and publicity. Aside from that I do a minor amount of level design.
[color="#1C2837"]

[color="#1C2837"]Any department that doesn't have a head I oversee as well.

[color="#1C2837"]Additional Info:
[color="#1C2837"]

[color="#1C2837"]We need the coders as the last part of the puzzle known as the "Zombie Apocalypse: Source Development Team" We are making models, maps, textures, etc. right now, but once we get coders we can truly make some great progress and please the modding community. We have around 5,800 views on our mod, in total widely ranging from Facepunch publicity, ModDB publicity, and interlopers.net publicity. and a lot of them like the progress that's coming along.

[color="#1C2837"]Feedback:

[color="#1C2837"]We want all the feedback you can get us, if you have something to say that ain't "Lol u suck" feel free to post here and tell us what needs fixing and it will be fixed.

Hello,

I'm interested in your project and want to be a part of the team. I have 4 years of C++ experience and worked at several projects most of them where related to physics simulation. I never worked with the source engine but i don't think this should be a great problem. If you are interested just send me a pm.

Greetings

Went through the pages of your previous work by your team. I enjoyed the music and graphic works. Keep up the great work. Makes me want to continue on my survival horror board game. Which needs to be completed. But all in due times.
