This is Cuddle Bears, the new iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch game we just released. We like to think it's an entertaining one-button run 'n jump game in a colorful world with a quirky theme.
It was made over the course of 3 months in our off-time. Two people worked on the entire project, with a third coming in near the end for music. I estimated total man hours at about 200.
The art was created by the fantastic Adam Capps (http://adamcappsart.com/ , http://walter-black.blogspot.com/) using mostly Photoshop. The game idea was largely his as well.
I was responsible for the coding. Obviously there's not a lot going on technology wise - just some 2D sprites jumping around, with a multi-layered parallax background. Surprisingly, the graphical demands were bringing the older generation iOS devices to their knees, so most of that fancy background gets turned off on the old devices (ie: iPhone 1).
All coding was done with XCode using C/C++ (and a small Objective-C layer where it couldn't be avoided). Graphics via OpenGL.
You can get the game off iTunes here. It's free for a little while. Afterward, we'll be charging, but I'll probably give away free promo codes to anyone that asks nicely and promises to tell their friends about it. :-)
Cheers,
