Hi,

Are there any good 2D game engine, editor like Unity that can be used for multiplatform developing?
Currently i need: Flash, Android and iPhone
I know that Flash can publish to iPhone.
Unity can publish to Android and iPhone but it's a 3d engine. As i know it's very difficult to develop a 2d game on a 3d based engine.

So what can you advice for me?

I'am interested in other solutions not just editor/engine things but programming language advice, etc...

Thanks!

Noticing that you're interested in flash, I recall a fairly recent featured article about the use of Adobe AIR for mobile application development. I'd say it's worth a look anyways.

As boohillie said, you can make android games out of flash games.

but what I wanted to mention was that unity has plugins that handle 2D well (apparently).

It costs money, but I think Unity is a great tool, and even if you have to make your own 2D libraries I think it's worth it.

Hi

Thanks for reply. I will check air.
Unity is very good i like it but the Unity web player not as common like Flash, i think.
I want to publish the game to web and mobile too.

FWIW, I've been writing a 2D platformer game using Gleed2d as the editor, tinyxml to parse the levels, sfml as my multimedia library, and chipmunk-physics as my 2D physics library. All together, it's pretty easy to program games now a days heh.
