I'm an Indie game producer working on my first project. We are making a low rent platformer intended to be released on iOS and Android. I'm looking to find some information on in game advertisements. I like the idea of selling a full ad free copy of the game and offering a free copy that contains in game ads to generate revenue. I'm looking to find out what to expect as far as revenue generated from ads and are there marketing companies I should talk to about partnering with that will find customers to place their ads in our game?
Any advice would be great!
Thanks,
Neal
Mobile Game: In game advertisements
Advertisement sources like AdMob and MobClix have varying payment structures.
It depends on how many impressions you get, the actual ads that are filled, your click-through rate, and other variables.

Its been my experience and from my discussion with other app developers that ad revenue in apps is generally pretty insignificant.
There is good blog on the subject http://makingmoneywithandroid.com/ which is worth a read.
It his latest update he mentions how he finally broke $1000 a month in revenue thanks to his latest highly successful app.
Total Ad Impressions[color=#000000]: 2,664,416
Total Income for October[color=#000000]: $1,480.92
