This is going to sound really stupid but if I use the following. SetRect(&rcRect, 0, 0, 250, 250); Can I get at the xRight? and how?

All you are doing here is filling a RECT structure

RECT rcrect;

SetRect(&rcRect, 0, 0, 250, 250);

That does initially the same thing as :

rcRect.left = 0;
rcRect.right = 250;
rcRect.top = 0;
rcRect.bottom = 250;

So this defines the top left of the rectangle,
and the bottom right of the rectangle.

So if you are refering to xRight, that would be
equivilant to rcRect.right if I understand you
correctly.
