Fight over dat Ancient
What are you looking for?
Are you looking for people to play and QA the game?
Are you looking for a specific game dev role?
What is going on here?
Hi, GeneralJist!
I'm mainly looking for feedback on the gameplay! But any kind of help would be awesome.

Only takes up 50% of my screen );
the dark downside of pixel art, not very responsive to resolution values.
Hi @SkyPenguin
Thanks for the feedback!
Have you tried the "High Resolution (1920 x 1080)" in the Options Menu?
Our game only has pixel art in the skills effects.
Can you explain how it is affecting you gameplay?
Do you have any suggestion to make it better?

No, didn't recall seeing an options menu but i didn't play long. Small screen made it difficult to see some stuff.
The button to open the Options menu is in the top bar to the right.
Hope it will fix the screen size for you. If you need a higher resolution just let me know!
Thanks again for your feedback!
The isometric depth thing the game uses is what makes it frustrating to play. Most of the game is played on the far side, making things frustrating small. It also makes the shop menu more irritating than is needed.
This whole style over design makes the game just feel small, even when it is large and there is a display on the side.
Maybe moving the camera would work to solve this or a flat 2D play option. The YuGiOh games on DS made a small 2D image on the lower screen:

It gives a much quicker feedback on what is happening.
For me the stats on the bottom of my cards are cut off.

Hi Ninja,
Thanks for your feedback. Another user has already reported that a flat 2d options would be nice.
I'm adding it to the roadmap, expect to see it online real soon!

Hi Eddie,
What browser are you using? What about your operational system?
Can you send me a screenshot?
Thanks for your time!

Sure, I'm using Linux Mint 18.3 Cinnamon 64-bit and the browser is Google Chrome Version 65.0.3325.181 64-bit
@EddieK, thanks again!
Are you talking about the skill cards on the bottom?
If so, there's nothing wrong with them being "cut", you just need to select them to check the stats!
The map used to be way smaller and everything was bigger, the change made the gameplay way more interesting. But the bigger map made the cards smaller and some people don't like it.
I'll keep a close eye on the community response in order to keep the balance where it will please most players.
Again, thanks a lot for your time and I really hope you guys have a lot of fun playing it!!!
Hey @Scouting Ninja
I just implemented the 2D flat map option in game!
Please, if you have some spare time, test it out and tell me if the gameplay feels better.
Thanks for your feedback!
Good Morning,
Input/Suggestions:
- I find that the enemies turn is way too long and I find myself waiting a while. What I mean by this is that the enemy slowly plays through their turn taking a long time to end it. This could reduce wasted time in battles.
- The clock interface does a bad job at warning you when your times near up, also kinda hard to see it all the way in the top. Considering time is important in games like this, I would suggest an animated clock that flashes at a certain time letting you know your turns about to end.
- Some of your graphics are spot on and clear and others are very fuzzy and pixelated (Yes I've tried all resolutions)
Graphical Issue: Inside of the Library interface, when I select a card from the left as you see, I don't get the full card displaying, this is on full res, full-screen in browser on a windows machine using chrome. On top of that a lot of the cards text is all fuzzy in some resolutions, the game does a bad job at scaling the text for the resolution, its obvious you are using an image of the text and stretching it.

OTHER:
1. Not sure if this is something you wanna fix as well but when I click a button while my mouse hovers its surface area it gets pressed but when I drag my mouse off the surface area of the button and let go of my click, I don't activate the button.
2. This guys placement isn't really a good spot imo.

Otherwise, great work and looks good.
Thanks a lot for your awesome feedback!
So let me go step by step:
"I find that the enemies turn is way too long" - The game AI still has a long way to be working properly, I'm still working on it, so sorry about that. One tip I can give you is to use the opponent time to buy your items in the shop!
"The clock interface does a bad job" - I agree, so I just implemented a yellow blinking effect when it goes below 10 seconds. Hope it will do a better job from now on!
"Some of your graphics are spot on and clear and others are very fuzzy" - That is a bug that I'm trying to solve for a while, but it's behave is very chaotic among different machines, specially ones that don't have a video card. And even with good graphic hardware, some browser versions still mess it up. This is mostly because of the CSS 3D implementation that is still being developed and fixed in most browsers.
Anyway, sometimes I can fix the fuzzy images with a few tricks, so let me know where it is ugly so I can try to fix it.
"Inside of the Library interface, when I select a card" - Fixed, thanks for warning me!
"Not sure if this is something you wanna fix as well but when I click a button" - I guess that's the expected behavior, isn't it?
"This guys placement isn't really a good spot imo. " - I agree 100%, but I can't find anywhere else to place him.?
Thanks a lot for your feedback!

Yea I think you're probably right about that. This is the kinda bug that isn't gonna cause anyone to stop playing.

Hmm, I'm not a web developer but is it possible to state the specific resolution and display of text in an xml file? Otherwise it still looks amazing. I think you've cleaned up a lot of the errors through this thread thanks for sharing your project with us
Thank you again, your feedback was very productive!
I'm not sure if I understood the XML file suggestion, but I'm gonna do some research about it.
Cheers!

Yes, the 2D plays much-much better. Fantastic option to have thanks.
