Hello i am a first time poster here but heard that this is the place to find talented individuales with a talent for game development. I am looking for a few Game programmers with Knowledge of Direct x, open Gl and anyone willing to work with an existing engine and modify it to fit our intentions. Now the game: We are working on a Project Called Magik&Eternity a fantasy genre based game set in a Classic fantasty world. The engine will be initially available to anyone who wishes to work on the team and If we manage to meet our ambitions and get this game published there is a possibility of payment for services rendered. Though Keep in mind at somepoint within the 2 year planned development process each Programmer will need to purchase a license of the Engine which costs 100 dollars. Any one intrested in joining our team please E-mail me at Maxcraxx@hotmail.com with Code Samples. Also anyone applying should be of legal working age within the US. additional information will be provided for those who apply on the actual project Edited by - maxcraxx on December 23, 2001 2:01:44 AM

hmm, I know the slogans "will work for food" and "will work for free", but "will pay for work I do" seems just a bit sick

well im only trying to be honost as to what is expected, though as i said earlier you would be reembursed for it in the future if you actually have something to bring to the table, currently the team for this project is pretty full all we are lacking is 1 or 2 programmers (currently we have 3) and a musician or 2. If you have no intrest in working for this project or have anything usefull to say please keep your patronizing comments to yourself

Well, since your new to gamedev, i''ll let you in on a secret alot
of people dont know at first...
This forum in particular is plagued with people who dont actually
know anything, but have ''an idea'', and want people to bring it
to life... these people usually get flamed like a chicken on a spit, but im here to save you from the fires!

what most people like (especially in this forum), is for you
to state what you''re after (which you''ve done), and what you
know (ie- where you stand in the project).
are you the project lead/manager? are you a programmer?
are you an artist? are you a daydreamer?
tell us something about yourself or this post may go
overlooked (or worse).

well thanks for the tip eldee, heres a little about myself. I am leading this project along with another, not only am i managing the project but i am also a graphic artist, i graduated from the la institute of art last year and now finding that, that particular degree doesnt go far without experiance, i am studying engineering. so i am also a 3d modeller and animator for the project.

now current team, everyone on this team are serious about producing this project all are very talented individual, 1 programmer who is on the team programs for a major corporation for a living. everyone on the team is also 20 years of age or older, so no kiddies playing around here. also 1 of the artists on the team has a few box games under here belt www.radishworks.com and has decided to help out in her spare time on the projec. so there is a litte something about myself and a little bit about the people who are working on the project. we are a serious team and are looking for individuals who can program well and have a love for what they do and a passion for video games.

we still have a couple positions open to help with this project.

also since i am asking for work samples from those who apply here is some examples of my work
