Yelena Rider: Hells & Shells is a retro-inspired 3D FPS built in Godot, mixing PSX-style low-poly visuals, infernal punk aesthetics, grounded strafing combat, and dark humor.

The game takes place in Nahar, a violent version of Hell filled with mercenaries, grotesque creatures, strange marketplaces, and opportunists trying to survive however they can.

You play as Rider, someone who willingly enters Hell to recover something stolen from him. During his journey, he gets involved with Roxxy, a manipulative infernal merchant who runs a safe hub called Roxxy’s Oasis.

The game focuses on grounded FPS combat, where positioning and strafing matter more than speed or movement tricks. Encounters are meant to feel heavy, readable, and impactful, with a strong emphasis on atmosphere and worldbuilding.

It also leans heavily into character-driven moments, strange humor, and a world that feels both brutal and oddly alive.

Current progress:

  • Working FPS controller

  • Weapon switching and ammo system

  • Mission / job structure

  • Save / load system

  • Dialogue and comms system

  • Shop and progression systems

  • HUD and menu framework

  • Hub area with interactable NPCs

Looking for help with:

  • Character / creature artist — to design and model characters and enemies. The style is stylized low-poly,
