Hi everyone,
I've just released Galaxy Duel (a.k.a. Friendship's StarWar), a fast local-multiplayer space duel I've been building with my own C++ engine. Two players fight on a single screen: dodge, pick a weapon, blast the other ship, and race to 5 points.
What's in the game:

  • 1v1 local multiplayer — two players, one device (touch on mobile, keyboard on desktop)

  • Three weapons: Rocket, Plasma blaster, and Nuke (with limited ammo)

  • Destructible power-up capsules — energy restore, extra plasma, extra nukes

  • A timed force-field shield at the start of each life

  • Screen shake, particle explosions, and a tight game feel I've been tuning for a while
    Play it free, no install:

  • Web: https://grom-games.art/game/fsw/

  • Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.grom.fsw
Why I'm posting here: this is a hobby project and I'd love honest gamedev feedback — game feel, weapon balance, controls, difficulty, anything that felt off or fun. What would you change? What made you rage or smile? All feedback is welcome, especially from people who make games.

Thanks for giving it a shot!

I really like the graphical concept and the overall style of the game. I actually gave it a try and found it very interesting.

I'd also love to see a competitive online PvP version at some point, with a ranking system and maybe other competitive features. I think the concept could work really well in that direction.

I'm not really a game developer, so I can't give you detailed feedback from that perspective — I work in music and production — but I really enjoyed what I saw.

Great work!

Thank you so much for playing and for the kind feedback! I’m really glad you enjoyed the visual style and the overall concept.

Online PvP is a very interesting direction for the game. Ranked matches, leaderboards, seasons, and private matches with friends could fit it really well. It would be a major feature, so I can’t promise it yet, but I’ll definitely keep the idea in mind for future development.

Thanks again for your support — I really appreciate it!
