I don''t think he''s an idiot at all. In my opinion, he usually is right. However, I''m sure part of the reason I believe that is due to the fact that I am largely conservative, but I digress...

I am, as well, not trying to start a flame war.
I used to watch his show when it was on TV. But one
day I was sick and stayed home, I watch CSPAN (I was pretty sick). The next day (still sick) I washed Rush''s show and buy an amazing coincidiance he was talking about the very same thing I had watched the previous day. Rush showed a 5 second clip and then told us what the guy was talking about. The strange thing was, he was lying. What Rush was saying had nothing to do with what the guy was talking about.

But the thing that lets me know there is something wrong with him is one of his "undeniable" truths.

"The most beutiful thing about a tree is what you do with it when you cut it down." Rush.

IF you''ve ever stood at the foot of a Redwood that is wider than you can spread your hands across, where five people couldn''t wrap your arms all the way around it, then you would know why that is a foolish statement.

He''s not an idiot, but I do find him anoying. Wow, a guy with a tv show going on and on about stuff telling me what I should think. I stopped watching when I started thinking for myself.

Never suspend your skepticism - especially when it comes to the media. When someone tells you that you don't have to think - that I'll do your thinking for you - watch out! So you say that you already had those thoughts - So I say - then what need have you for Rush? (or for any other guru for that matter?) Are you a creative game maker - or just a wanna be who can't think up ideas for himself?

I don't think Rush is an idiot - but I have noticed that "ditto" and idiot use the same letters and so they must have a few things in common. I think the idiots are those that can't think past what Rush says and so they just say "duh, ditto".

I do think Rush is morally challenged. Anyone who makes $20 million a year and more by making fun of people who are barely surviving - has surely earned himself a warm spot in hell. Why doesn't Rush pick on people his own size?

When the news came out that Rush had lost his hearing, I didn't find it surprising - I didn't know that he had ever been able to hear. And now the only voice that he is capable of hearing at all is his own rattling around in his head. How wonderful that must be for him!

I shall not repond to any rebuttals.

You''re arguments are baseless, and that ditto anology was pure idiocy. He does not make 2 million a year, and he lost his hearing from his carreer as a Rock DJ and a radio show host.

Rush Limbaugh is not an idiot -- he is quite intelligent. But he "plays" to idiots. If you watch/listen to him for anything other than obnoxious humor value, you may very well be an idiot.

The thing I hate most about Rush is that he always complains when the government isn''t run the way he likes. But if anyone else has anything to complain about they are "feminazis", or environmental freaks, or in some other way crazy. I have a feeling that if he were the child of a illiterite day laborer he would feel very differntly about many things.

I am one of those people who listens to Rush because I find his ranting humorous. He has the world-view of a child. Everything is black and white to him. Everybody in the country fits into one of two categories for him: bleeding-heart liberal kook, or honest, hard-working, moral conservative. You will never hear him discuss an issue in-depth, because he can''t see any depth.

He may very well be the most partisan person on the planet. A Republican can do no wrong, and a Democrat is incapable of fairly and competently serving his country. Hell will freeze over before you ever hear Rush say one positive word about any Democrat. Did I mention that he has the intellect of a child?

El Rushbo habitually mis-characterizes the view-point of those he disagrees with. I beleive this is why he never has guests on his show with opposing view-points, because his straw-man tactics would be exposed to his audience if the other side was given the opportunity to state thier case.

As an openly ''progressive'' orginization, FAIR is generally anything but. They bring up some good points, but find me anyone political that doesn''t make mistakes or stretch the truth, including the hypocrites FAIR themselves. When FAIR did a peice on Bill O''Reilly and FNC, there were many innaccuracies, exaggerations, and mistakes by FAIR itself. I don''t listen to Rush and don''t care to because he''s generrally too one sided and doens''t give weight to their opponants, just like FAIR.
