tripod's cgi-bin question

So I have a perl "program" in my cgi-bin directory. The associated HTML page is one directory above the cgi-bin folder...which would make it the default folder since my main.html file is there as well. in my perl program file, i need to supply the "real" path for my html files. i''ve tried all sorts of things, such as /usr/bin/perl/page.html, /usr/local/bin/perl/page.html, i''ve even tried page.html, /home/page.html, .....etc. none of the paths work. how do you set the real paths under tripod server?? thanks. ~ I am a DirectX to OpenGL convert! ~
