Ive spent most of the day trying to figure out how to load activeX controls at runtime and interact with the controls. Ive got as far as displaying different controls through my app (depending on the ID you type in to a dialog box), but actually getting them to work is another matter (e.g. if you click a part of the control my app recieves the message and does something- something simple like that).
Ive come to the conclusion that maybe this isnt possible. It seems that all the information I find (including the MSDN) embeds the control through the visual studio editor.
My first question is: Am I correct in assuming that it cant be done?
My second question is: If it can be done does anyone know of tutorials/information on doing this?
As i said before all the information I have managed to find (msdn, codeguru, codeproject, programmersheaven etc) have either been talking about creating the control (not the container app) or including the control during development.
I am at a loss. Thanks for any help you can offer.
