EA announces UGC marketplace for The Sims 4
Electronic Arts is set to launch a user-generated content (UGC) marketplace for The Sims 4 on March 17, 2026. This new platform, known as the Sims Maker Program, will enable creators to publish their custom content and earn revenue through a virtual currency called Moola. With a 30% revenue share, this initiative provides a new avenue for artists and designers to monetize their work while maintaining creative ownership.
The Sims Team is also committed to supporting creators by covering all associated costs and ensuring that content is accessible in 18 languages. This marketplace does not replace free content, allowing creators to continue offering their work on other platforms. The introduction of Maker Packs, which will include various assets for players, highlights EA's investment in fostering a vibrant creator community.
“Makers will have creative ownership of their work.”
