Remedy reports "stable" Q1 performance despite decreases in revenue and operating profit
Remedy posted a profitable first quarter with revenue of €13.1 million, down 1.9% year over year, and operating profit of €1 million versus €1.3 million last year. The company says its portfolio was broadly stable, with game sales and royalties offsetting softer development fees.
For devs, the useful signal is how Remedy is balancing new production with long-tail monetization. Control got a boost from promotions and visibility around Control Resonant, pushing lifetime sales past 6 million. Alan Wake 2 royalties improved after both it and Alan Wake Remastered landed on Amazon Luna, and FBC: Firebreak will remain live despite missing targets because its upkeep costs are low. Remedy also said Resonant is on track for a 2026 launch and is its most localized game yet, with eight audio languages.
