Keep Your Cemetery Running (and the Zombies Out) in Zombie Graveyard Simulator

Zombie Graveyard Simulator is now available on Xbox Series X|S, and the console release arrives with the full stack of post-launch PC improvements already folded in. That means players get the original cemetery-management core plus the newer systems that broaden the game into a more layered business sim with combat pressure layered on top.

The biggest additions are the Stone Quarry & Workshop and Expeditions. The quarry/workshop chain lets players mine stone and craft gravestones, while Expeditions pushes the loop outside the cemetery with distress calls, remote objectives, and reward runs that feed back into the home base. For developers, that’s a useful reminder that a sim can stay fresh by adding adjacent systems rather than just inflating the same daily routine.

Other updates expand the day-to-day management side: the Chapel Expansion adds buildings, employees, and activities; High Stakes & Hot Ashes introduces cremation mechanics, custom urns, delivery systems, and new progression paths; and dynamic weather changes the presentation from day to day. The game also leans hard into staffing and automation, with roles like Florist, Gravekeeper, Gardener, Technician, Priest, Pianist, and Custodian helping keep the operation moving.

The design takeaway is straightforward: the game’s evolution has been shaped by player feedback, especially around wanting to explore beyond the graveyard.
