Star Wars: Galactic Racer launches on Amazon Luna as part of Prime subscription

Briefing

GamesIndustry.biz reports that Star Wars: Galactic Racer will launch on Amazon Luna as part of a Prime subscription, putting the game in front of cloud players on day one. That means Prime members can jump into the single-player campaign, Arcade mode, and Scenario mode without owning a console or waiting on a download.

The game is developed by Fuse Games and published by Secret Mode, and it’s also releasing on Windows, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Arcade mode is built around shorter, time-focused events with specific objectives, while Scenario mode swaps in different rule sets and characters for replayable race setups.

For developers, the notable angle is distribution: Luna is being used as a launch platform rather than a later add-on, which can widen reach for a licensed, mass-appeal game. Amazon’s Jeff Gattis said the goal is to serve players who want big IP games but don’t own dedicated gaming hardware.

That fits Luna’s broader positioning after its US debut in 2022, later expansion to the UK, Germany, and Canada, and its move into Prime Video in the UK and US this July. Amazon says Luna now has more than 100 titles across subscriptions and linked storefront libraries, including Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Hogwarts Legacy, and EA Sports FC 26.
