I just submitted my entry in this year’s dungeon crawler jam: Uliel’s Quest. And you may notice that it’s not on my main account, but rather a new account I started for my new brand:
Basically, earlier this year I noticed DCJam that runs in late March. Well I’ve tried multiple times to finish a first-person dungeon crawler (seriously, just troll through old posts) so I have a bunch of half-finished code lying around. I decided this would be a perfect time to actually finish one!
In order to complete my submission in time I had to cut a bunch of stuff from the original plan (most notably I was going to have a cool dimensional portal, but yeah that didn’t happen). And those cuts were on top of things I already struck from the plan before I even started, like music and cutscenes. oh well that’s game jams for you; still woo hoo I released it!
