I am just starting to learn DirectPlay, and am having some trouble getting it to work. I am trying to learn from the book Multiplayer Game Programming by Todd Barron, Andre Lamothe, but cant get the examples to run even. I do not know the IP address for the host to connect to. Is there any way I can extract this from the the DirectPlay8adress object? I wish to use IP-adresses to connect the client/server, but cant find any resources that actually use IP-adresses... You can run ipconfig from the cmd line and see your machine''s IP address.
