Yes, another rating suggesting. Until now, I've only noticed receiving positive ratings. Well, I just now noticed that my rating went down for once, so now I'm in the boat that I've seen many others in before. I'm not annoyed at all with it. But I am curious what caused my rating to go down, in order to possibly correct/improve myself. I realize that adding a comment thingy to ratings would probably be too much. But here is an idea that I don't think would complicate things too much. If the user who provides the rating does so by using the Rate This User link on an actual post, include a check-mark on the rating page that, if checked, will send the person receiving the rating a private message that contains a link to the post that caused the rating, and if the rating was positive or negative (or specifically what it was, if that's not a problem). This way, if a rater wants to let the ratee know why they're getting rated, it's an easy one-check-box click. But if they're afraid that it'll be obvious who they are, or whatever, they can just ignore the check-box, and it'll work like normal. And if this was used, it would probably be yet another simple addition to let the rater type in some text that would be included in the private message, if they really cared enough. I just want to know if I actually misinformed someone with poor advice, or if someone might have just disliked two of my opinions. If it's the former, I'll learn of my mistake. If it's the latter, meh, who cares. But looking through my post history today, it's very likely that it's the former, and I have no idea of what I might've said that was incorrect.
