http://www.xgames3d.com/ubb/Forum9/HTML/000694.html Hasbro Admits Withdrawal Wholesale changes at Hasbro Interactive moved a step closer to reality today as the firm admitted that it is exploring strategic alternatives for its games division. Following MCV''s story last month that the firm was considering a sale of its software business, Hasbro has admitted its interactive arm is not meeting already reduced expectations. Tellingly, a statement from the firm says that it has yet to determine the impact of "discontinued product lines and product lines with reduced expectations" and says it plans to complete the assessment in the fourth quarter. As part of a restructuring of the group''s overall business, Hasbro has announced that between 500 and 550 jobs will be lost worldwide, representing five percent of its global workforce. In the U.S. three toy offices in Cincinnati, Napa and San Francisco will close. Chief executive Allan Hassenfield said: "Improving Hasbro’s profitability is our highest priority. Our intellectual property portfolio of toy and game assets represents our crown jewels."

Hopefully someone else will buy thier computer game division, and continue to produce some of thier titles. Does this mean that the lawsuits will be called off?
