It was, and they tried to change it to "Pacific Air Flight 121" partway through production, but I hear that Samuel L. Jackson threatened to quit if they changed the title or something. (also said that "people don't want to see Pacific Air Fligth 121, they want to Snakes on a Plane!")

Snakes on a Plane stars Samuel L.
