Worst CG Ever?

I don't know what you guys think about this, but that trailer almost made me cry. The CG is so horrible, even a 2 year old kid wouldn't be scared. Don't get me wrong, I think the movie could be almost remotely entertaining... If they redo all the CG (oh, and make a remotely original score for the movie, although I do realise the score on the trailer may only be temporary).

I was expecting a lot of Ghost Rider...Again, it appears my expectations will be raped and devoured by the pangs of mediocrity. :(

Most likely the studio contracted a separate composer to write music for the trailer. The way it appears to work in Hollywood, the main composer often has very little to do with the musical content that is present in any of the trailers. So in other words, there is still hope for the soundtrack. ;)

I remember thinking that the CG looked pretty pad too. Most likely its just a early fast render to get something for the trailer.

I think the cg looks ok, has a certain artistic style to it which could be pretty interesting.

Can you say "jaded"? I thought the trailer was fine. The graphics were good, not great, but not crappy either.

I'll certainly be seeing it when it comes out.

Yea, not that great but I have seen agonizingly worse. It has that kinda comic book stylee feel to it.

I'll be watching it, it looks quite cool.

Yeah, they often reuse old scores as well.

For example, I've seen at least 5 trailers (for different movies) that use Marion's Theme from Requiem for a Dream (LOTR:ROTK was the only one I can remember off-hand though).
This is my signature. There are many like it, but this one is mine. My signature is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life. My signature, without me, is useless. Without my signature, I am useless.

Everyone knows that Full Throttle is better then Ghost Rider....

Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers used the "Summer Overture" for their trailer. Whenever I hear that music, I almost feel like puking. Requiem for a Dream is a movie that every high school student should watch at least once.

I really hope those were fast renders for the trailer. Some of that looked terrible.
My opinion is a recombination and regurgitation of the opinions of those around me. I bring nothing new to the table, and as such, can be safely ignored.[ Useful things - Firefox | GLee | Boost | DevIL ]

Ghost Rider is supposed to be scary?...

Going to see it anyway. It's not about the CG.

The only Ghost Rider comic I ever owned was actually a team-up with Venom. If I remember correctly, they were fighting evil in some sort of jungle. I wasn't really captivated.

Good or bad CG, I think the character Cage turns into (the Ghost Rider?) looks cheesey. Actually, it's not so much the character, but the bike. Anyway, I'm not familiar with the comics, but my guess is the look is staying too true to the comics. I liked the change made to the X-Men costumes; they kept a comic book style without the comic book cheese.

I'm still going to see it and hope for a good super hero story. I like super hero stories.

Seriously, how good can you make a guy with a flaming skull-head look? The source material isn't exactly gold.

I'm always surprised at how few comic book dorks there are on GDNet. I could not honestly be more excited about this film, even given Marvel's track record of film adaptations.

Well, I guess I could go into insane-fanboy mode, but I don't think that mode exists inside me. *tilts monocle* Cheerio.

Well, the movement looks unsmooth and so does the fire. If they made the skull and fire look realistic, and the skull-head moved in a way that looked natural, it would already be alot better. What's kind of lame is that the movie "Spawn" is alot older and looked alot more impressive.

That being said, they could also make him look like some evil undead guy and it would do even better. They could also make the motorcycle look better in a simpler manner by making it look like a demon-posessed machine without the lame "bone transmutation". But anyways, like modern movies do things simple and efficient.
