Just a plain thread to see what everyone's reading be it fictional or non-fictional. I'm reading: Teach Yourself C++ in 21 Days How To Program a Role-Playing Game in DirectX Just Finished: Prey Honestly I suggest everyone run out and buy Prey (Michael Crichton) if you like fiction and you are a programmer. The story is really creepy and has to do with escaped, evolving, nano-particles and how swarms act and how the main character used swarm activities to program a preditor/ prey program. Really good book.

Reading: A Swedish translation of Les mathématiciens. It's a book with biographies and achievements of some of the greatest mathematicians of all time. It's very interesting.

I don't remember titles and I'm too lazy to look at them right now, but:
- Reversing: Secrets of Reverse Engineering
- Some book about swarm intelligence theory
- Some random nonfiction about a group of guys that toured the world
- The last couple of Dune books
- Still trying to slog through the last bits of Gödel Escher Bach
- There's some other one I keep forgetting

Most recent thing I finished was my fifth re-read of Masters of Doom.

Just Finished: Battlefield Earth.

Amazing book that was completely butchered by filmmakers. I love how it goes into technical details about alien technology.

I have just finished re-reading White Wolf and The Swords of Night and Day by (the now deceased) David Gemmell.

I saw this book on a discount on a book fair near my house just yesterday. The reviews on amazon also arent bad... and since you suggest it, i think i'll give it a try.

Just yesterday, my order for GURPS Powers 4th Edition and Gamemastering Secrets 2nd Edition came in, so I'll be actively reading through those over the next several days. On a more passive level (meaning a few pages every once in a while), I'm working my way through a book on personal life in ancient times (can't remeber the name and apparently there are quite a few books on the subject).
