>New Video! NEED GENERAL MODELERS: We need modelers for objects, indoor locations, etc. NEED TEXTURE ARTIST: We need textures for all in-game environments. Project name: 2983: Dark Age of Machinery Brief description: This project aims to be an open-ended RPG in the same vein as the Elder Scrolls series, but with third-person, gamepad-friendly controls similar to those of Super Mario 64 and the like. Also, the visual style leans much more toward JRPGs than western RPGs, with the goal being a distinct form of cel-shading to create a "dark anime" look. The setting is a distant planet inhabited by machines and barely suitable for life, thanks to the catastrophic event that contaminated the atmosphere and instigated the wars between the machines. The story involves a mercenary being guided to the planet by its Guardian, who has failed to protect her civilization from being extinguished. A new Guardian has been sent to "clean up" after her and start over, as directed by the Forces in charge. The player must decide whether to help the machines, find a way to revive the original inhabitants, or seek a different means of restoring the planet through a branching story. I'm also looking for ways to improve the concept, as everyone I've asked so far just says that it's fine. Don't be afraid to challenge something, only progress can come of it. Lastly, I don't want people that are pirating PhotoShop, 3DSMax and the like. I want to prove that an independent game can be legitimately developed and distributed for free.
