Via Scott Guthrie's blog: Microsoft has now released the source to a bunch of the .NET Framework libraries, including Windows Forms, ASP.NET and the BCL. From the looks of it, it's only available in the VS2008 debugger at the moment, but in a comment Scott says that there will be a standalone download version at some point in the future. One interesting tidbit about the license:
Quote:
"we made a small change to the license to specifically call out that the license does not apply to users developing software for a non-Windows platform that has "the same or substantially the same features or functionality" as the .NET Framework. If the software you are developing is for Windows platforms, you can look at the code, even if that software has "the same or substantially the same features or functionality" as the .NET Framework."
So looks like no help for the Mono/Portable.NET guys? That's how I interpret it. Original thread by JWalsh

Well if you are developing on Vista with VS 2008 and have Vista SP1RC installed it won't work as I just found out.
Will have to wait until next week until they upload the new symbols to the server it seems.

Yep - we may need to push 1434 symbols to the servers to handle this. We'll get it sorted, thanks for reporting it. Might be early next week before we're able to do this.

Thanks,

Shawn
