Team name: WarMonger Games. Unregistered, volunteer-based team. Project name: Takran Online Brief description: Takran Online is an innovative 3D ORPG (hopefully massively multiplayer) in which the players are pivotal to the success of the game. It is the players that build the economy; it is the players that create and complete quests; it is the players that build the military; it is the players that control the world. Of course there will be a few NPCs to aid. Target aim: Freeware, supported by donations Compensation: All compensation generated through donations will be evenly distributed to every developer. However, if we are short on funds, there will temporarily be no compensation. As a result, the flow of pay will fluctuate; that is, if there is any. Technology: We are using C++ to develop the game. The game is mainly targeted for the Windows series, but may possibly be ported to other operating systems. Modelers may use any program they wish, though we suggest Blender. Below is a list of supported file types for models: * 3D Studio meshes (.3ds) * B3D files (.b3d) * Alias Wavefront Maya (.obj) * Cartography shop 4 (.csm) * COLLADA (.xml, .dae) * DeleD (.dmf) * FSRad oct (.oct) * Irrlicht scenes (.irr) * Irrlicht static meshes (.irrmesh) * Microsoft DirectX (.x) (binary & text) * Milkshape (.ms3d) * My3DTools 3 (.my3D) * OGRE meshes (.mesh) * Pulsar LMTools (.lmts) * Quake 3 levels (.bsp) * Quake 2 models (.md2) * STL 3D files (.stl) If you would like additional information, feel free to visit our forum at http://dgxonline.net/takran/ Talent needed: Currently, all positions are open, but the most vital one is 3D modeling. Great looking project with a lot of ambition! I think it is a nice ambition to put a lot of the game progress in the gamers hand and I think it will certainly attrack a type of player (me for sure :) )and I was wondering what the basic story behind the game is, if you don't mind that I ask it :)

Anyway great work and good luck in gathering the team!

Thank you! :) Well, the story is basically created by the players ;) . However, a few NPCs here and there will need to have a bit of background in order to give players quests. Needless to reiterate one of the pivotal points of the game, it is the players who drive the game, which means that most of the quests will be likely to have been made by the players themselves. ^^
