2 USB devices to 1 PC?

I'm trying to figure out how to get two USB mice hooked up to the computer, and switch them out with each other by pressing a button. All my searches turn up some really old-looking sites, or more often, devices that do the reverse of what I want, letting you hook up one USB device to 2 (or 4) PCs. My dad wanted me to figure it out for a friend of his*, but I'm not sure if such a thing exists. Any ideas on how this might be done? *(I believe the idea is to get two kids each holding a mouse on a turn-based game, but I'm not positive)

...and literally seconds after posting, I find out you can just slap in two mice and it works fine. I'll leave this post up incase anyone else is looking for the same solution sometime down the road.

For the record this works for keyboards as well. During a recent pair programming experiment at work (see journal for last month) I plugged my ergonomic keyboard into the other guys computer while his was still plugged in; this meant my wrists didn't explode and for a short amount of time he wasn't damnaging his [wink]

That's interesting. It would be useful for turnbased or real-time games where 4 or more players are clustered around a single keyboard. Players wouldn't be able to use the same keys(only one player could still use the WASD or arrow keys), but it'd offer alot more shoulder room.

I have a wired keyboard plugged into my Mac, but I occasionally use a second wireless keyboard for typing when it's more convenient (I've completely covered my desk with other stuff, or occasionally because I like the feel more). It works great.
