Check out all the goodness here. I'm ready to let the money come rolling in! OK, maybe I'm overly optimistic, but this is very cool IMO.

Yeah I really like this oportunity :D..
Now what it puts me to think it's about those people with Live Arcade parnerships. Are the royalties the same on those cases? what differences are between a Creators club and a XLBA partner? ( besides the obvious XDK )

I would guess that royalty rates vary depending on the developer for XBLA games. There's a lot of differences between a partner and someone in the CC, too many to go over here and I'd probably miss some anyway. I believe it's been discussed over on the Creators Club forum.

Very cool indeed; I think I might consider my latest game project with half an eye to getting it on XBLCG.

It's cool that you can sell games, but I'm not sure that I like that you have to sell them. I'm sure there are some people that would rather have the exposure rather than the meager royalties they'll get off 400 MS points a purchase. Oh well...I guess that's what the PC is for. Either way this should make things very interesting over the next few months.

Put copies of the book all over your house. Fool-proof way to get the babes. Just make sure to add "Prof." before your name and say that this is only one of your many vacation houses.

I think that this is all deliberate, MS are looking to see which games are most widely received and most profitable and *ka-ching* - they have themselves the opportunity for a few new talented and committed XDK partners writing new, retail games and putting them onto XBLA. I have no doubt that this will happen in a few cases at the very least.

It's a good strategy whether or not if this is what MS really had in mind.

Also, they made Games for Windows LIVE free... I wonder if this now means I can sign into Windows LIVE via XNA :)

Edit: Without paying, I mean :P

Edit2: Sorry got confused, you still need a premium XBCC membership to use LIVE with XNA :(

I don't think the Community Games thing is yet for Windows LIVE, only 360. It might be good once it's on Windows LIVE - but in Windows you can sell it yourself anyway (theoretically at least, though obviously without the profile of being on LIVE).

I've not really used Games for Windows LIVE much. Anyone know if it's any cop? How does it compare to the XBox eqiuvalent? I guess it has idfferent aims as you have so much more flexibility on a PC...?

I think this is fantastic. I have a group of friends ready to produce a few amazing games for this platform.

Hopefully they'll get a system going for free games though.
