Virtual PC - Install Window 98

Hello, Just for fun, I thought it would be cool to install Windows 98 on my Virtual PC and try out some really old games I dug up in the garage last month. So here is my problem... I have no A: drive for the windows boot disk, which is needed to install. Does anyone out there have any ideas on how to get around this? Thanks for your time,

find a floppy disk image of the boot disk online

I seem to remember that the Windows 98 CD was bootable, did you try just booting that?

Yes the '98 disk is bootable.

If you have problems with that, you can go download a FreeDOS CD image which you can boot from to install DOS. After it is loaded, you can insert your '98 disk, mount it, and run its setup program.

I tried installing from the disk, and that was working, but then it asked for the floppy drive. I googled for images of a boot disk, but I usually don't just download stuff like that from websites I've never used before. Sometimes I am a little too paranoid about those kinds of things.

I will trying installing it again...

1) don't be that paranoid
2) you just download it to run it in a vm.. what's the worst that can happen? your vm messes up. then just reset the vm and start again? :)
